This is an original artwork by important artist Pax Paloscia. Bought at dOrso gallery in 2012, met the artist and also have pre-loved "Let the Kids Play" art book. (My take: Diagrams the burgeoning life inside neglected and ignored human beings. Its also about children as exotic creatures poorly perceived by adults...also about the managerie of symbol from mass media which is lingua franca of the teenager...)

Pax Paloscia is a visual artist born in 1974, in Rome, Italy. Influenced by street art, she runs endlessly the world fitted with a camera and a suitcase full of memories. Her passion for photography and the 7th art are the driving force behind her inspiration and place the image in the center of her work.

Pax Paloscia paints as a poet. Her sensibility, deeply feminine, is translated by a large stylistic freedom. She plays with shapes, colours and can be wilder by using many annotations, more or less decipherable. Her paintings look like a familiar wall, where pictural signs and feelings are superposed. Family reminiscences, childhood memories, contribute to an abundance of pictures, situations and significant details, composing a sort of a personal diary which is feeding her creation.

After the classical studies, she graduated from the Academy of Illustration and Image of Rome. Paloscia's work, influenced by street culture and the world of kids meant as a metaphor of the human condition, is a continuous contamination of languages, ranging from painting and photography to videos.

At the age of twenty two, Paloscia moves to Milan where collaborates as free-lance artist with advertising agencies publishing houses, newspapers and magazines, such as Rolling Stones, Urban, EnVille, Ventiquattro, Mover. Her painting and photography works are used for exhibitions, press campaigns and attachments for clients like Mazda, Omnitel, Findus, Levi's, Fnac. She produce covers, booklets and photoshoots for international artists and for Emi Music Italia. In 2003 founds, in collaboration with the art critic Laura Lombardi, an international visual art network, focused on the international street scene, called Studio14.

In 2007 she graduated from International Center of Photography of New York. Her monography "Let the Kids Play" was published by Drago Books in 2008. Paloscia's work has been exhibited all across Europe and the USA.
She lives and works between Rome and New York where continues her career as freelance artist.
